Exciting Wine Experiences, Culture and Enjoyment: During the VinoCulti Taste the Wine series of events, everything in Dorf Tirol revolves around the noble grape juice – in all of its enjoyable aspects. From fascinating insights into South Tyrol’s winegrowing industry and gourmet tours of local wine cellars and special wine events, through to entertaining excursions into the wine culture of Dorf Tirol – incidentally one of the oldest wine growing areas in South Tyrol – lovers of the tipple pressed from grapes will find that there is plenty on offer.
This sparkling series of events kicks off in the spring. With Jazz & Bubbles, on 18th May from 10.30 am to 14.30 pm, Dorf Tirol invites visitors to enjoy an extra special sparkling wine tasting in the picturesque outer bailey of Tyrol Castle. The agenda includes refreshing jazz music, foaming pearls, and inspiring insights into the world of sparkling wine in South Tyrol.
In contrast, the summery Pink Party on 14th June is dedicated to rosé wine. At this event, Burglehen Park is resplendent in the glow of the sky at sunset and rosé wine makers magic a magnificent summer mood into their guests’ glasses with their fresh, fruity vintages.
On 30th August it’ll once again be time for Summer Night in Dorf Tirol! For the second year running, Burglehen Park will play host to a superlative wine event. A number of wine cellars and vineyards from Merano and the surrounding area will be in attendance with their hand-crafted wines. Once again this year, a gin lounge, finger food, live music and summery beats from a DJ will ensure lasting memories of this extra special August evening overlooking the rooftops of Merano.
The traditional Schlossweg Harvest Festival is another must-attend event for lovers of authentic wine culture. The festival of thanksgiving in the centre of Dorf Tirol is devoted to music, a great atmosphere, culinary delights – and, of course, wine. An atmospheric homage to South Tyrol’s wine culture, with a multifaceted character and lasting finish – exactly like a fine wine.
